Guess who may be a judge on American Idol?

THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER is reporting that CAPITOL RECORDS artist KEITH URBAN has agreed to fill the third judge's chair on "American Idol." This report comes after URBAN recently gave an interview to an AUSTRALIAN radio station that he was not interested in the opportunity (NET NEWS 8/23).

URBAN’s paycheck will reportedly be $3-$4 million, significantly less than the $8 million that ARISTA NASHVILLE artist BRAD PAISLEY had wanted at a time when the show is trying to cut costs.

KEITH URBAN is close to closing the deal with  "American Idol," while he continues to work on a new album and judge the AUSTRALIAN version of the televised singing competition, “The Voice.”
