Altoona Water Authority Source Water Protection Meeting

We invite our community to attend the Altoona Water Authority Source Water Protection meeting being held at Leopold Park Horseshoe Curve Road in Altoona Pa Tuesday the 14th of August at 10:00 AM. This meeting will be hosted by The Altoona Water Authority Source Water Protection Committee. This meeting is open to the public.  The discussion will encompass important water related issues within Blair County. These topics include discussing the Glen White Watershed-Squatter Falls Rehabilitation. In addition, Craig Ostein of American Forestry Consultants will discuss the AWA forest management plan updates. The Pennsylvania Game Commission & the Altoona Water Authority will review the current Land Cooperative agreement. This will be hosted by our new Wildlife Conservation Officer from Northern Blair County: William Brehun. Lastly, Katrina Pope of the Inter municipal Relations Committee will review the hazards of illegal dumping into our water supplies.  Those who attend will have an opportunity to ask questions and learn ways to help to keep the watersheds of our area clean and safe. Lunch will be held at 11:30.
