Boalsburg Museum Honors Military Moms
Boalsburg – The Pennsylvania Military Museum in Boalsburg, Centre County, will display a special selection of artifacts and letters “to Mom” in an exhibit remembering the bond of Motherhood to the military throughout the month of May.
“Souvenirs from camp and letters home help us understand and appreciate that special relationship between Mom and the soldier, sailor, airman and Marine,” says museum educator, Joe Horvath. “There has always had a special place in the heart for Motherhood. We see the physical manifestation of feelings with this exhibit.”
A special 2 for 1 admission rate will be offered to Military Moms of all ages on Mother’s Day May 12 beginning at Noon.
The Pennsylvania Military Museum and 28th Infantry Division Shrine is administered by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. For more information on the museum please call 814-466-6263 or visit www.pamilmuseum.org.
