Central PA Humane Society Offers Male Cat Neuter Blitz

The Central PA Humane Society (CPHS) will offer a male Cat Neuter Blitz for owned pets on Monday, October 8, 2012.  Twenty-five openings for neuter surgeries are available at a cost of $25 per surgery.   Pre-payment (non-refundable) is required to hold the surgery appointment.  The Blitz will be held at CPHS Wellness Center, located at 1835 East Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona PA.

“We are pleased to offer this program to the public to help improve the health of owned animals as well as reduce pet overpopulation in our community,” said Mary Anslinger, Executive Director.  This is the second of two Blitzes to be offered in 2012.  “We appreciate the kind generosity of Dr. Linda Blakeley, our vet techs, and our volunteers for making this valuable program a success,” said Anslinger.

For the safety of the animals, all cats must be brought to the Blitz in a pet carrier.  If the cat is not current on its rabies vaccine, the pet owner will be required to purchase the vaccine at an additional cost of $20.00.  Other pet services and products, such as flea products, ear cleaning, etc., will be available at the Blitz.  For more information, contact the CPHS Pet Wellness Center at (814) 943-7575.
