That's how many diet books are listed on!

I've probably read about 600 of them, and they all boil down to two things:

  • Eat less
  • Exercise more

Sounds easy - like swimming through murky waters infested with cheesecake sharks. See, those books don't take into account that we have taste buds and cheesecake tastes good!

I've had a complicated relationship with food all my life. Been fat, been thin-ish, most days I fall somewhere in between.

I've learned a few things along the way. Most importantly, I've learned there is no short cut to good health.

Some days, we just want to sit around watching TCM with a bowl of chocolate chip cookie dough. Not that I've ever done that. Wink

How do we create balance? My hobby, my passion, is health and well-being. This is where I'll share what works, and doesn't work for me.
