SCHOOL STABBING

DESPITE SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS AND RUMORS, MURRYSVILLE POLICE CHIEF THOMAS SEEFELD SAYS THEY HAVE FOUND NO EVIDENCE THAT ALEX HRIBAL WAS A VICTIM OF BULLYING. THE 16-YEAR-OLD FACES ATTEMPTED HOMICIDE AND OTHER CHARGES FOR A STABBING RAMPAGE LAST WEEK AT FRANKLIN REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL. HRIBAL’S PRELIMINARY HEARING IS SCHEDULED APRIL 30TH.

PENN STATE STABBING

PENN STATE ALTOONA STUDENT 21 YEAR OLD BRANDON FRICK HASA BEEN ORDERED TO STAND TRIAL FOR STABBING 2 OTHER MEN LAST SUNDAY AT A STATE COLLEGE APARTMENT BUILDING. HE’S CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED ASSAULT AND OTHER OFFENSES. POLICE SAY 22-YEAR-OLD ROBERT DONALDSON AND 21-YEAR-OLD WILLIAM STRANBURG WAIVED THEIR PRELIMINARY HEARINGS ON CHARGES OF MAKING TERRORISTIC THREATS AND POSSESSION OF AN INSTRUMENT OF CRIME. THE 2 VICTIMS HAVE BEEN RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL.

ARSON SUSPECT DUE IN COURT

POLICE SAY 23 YEAR OLD BRIAN FLICKINGER OF CLAYSBURG IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FIRE THAT DESTROYED 3 OF THE 7 UNITS AT THE GREENFIELD APARTMENTS ON APRIL 8TH AND HIS PRELIMINARY HEARING IS TODAY. HE IS ALSO BELIEVED TO HAVE STARTED THE BLAZE THAT DESTROYED A BARN IN THE AREA ON APRIL 7TH. AUTHORITIES ARE ALSO INVESTIGATING 3 FIRES THAT HAPPENED AT THE HOUSE WHERE FLICKINGER USED TO LIVE. HE IS FREE ON BAIL.

FIRE DESTROYS SUMMER HOME

FIRE GUTTED A SUMMER HOME AT GLENDALE YEAROUND WEDNESDAY EVENING. AUTHORITIES SAY THE MOBILE HOME IN THE 200 BLOCK OF HARMONY DRIVE WAS UNOCCUPIED AT THE TIME. A STATE POLICE FIRE MARSHAL IS INVESTGATING.

FORMER OFFICER’S CONVICTION UPHELD

THE ALTOONA MIRROR REPORTS THAT THE STATE SUPERIOR COURT HAS UPHELD THE AGGRAVATED ASSAULT CONVICTION OF FORMER ALTOONA POLICE OFFICER DUANE EICHENLAUB. HE’S SERVING 11-AND-A-HALF TO 23 MONTHS IN THE BLAIR COUNTY PRISON FOR BEATING UP EARL ESHELMAN AT PELLEGRINE’S BAR NEARLY 4 YEARS AGO. ESHELMAN WAS HELPING HERMAN LARDIERI WHO WAS BEING ASSAULTED BY EICHENLAUB AND FORMER OFFICER ERIC KRINER AFTER HE ALLEGEDLY MADE INAPPROPRIATE CONTACT WITH KRINER’S WIFE. THE COPS WERE ALSO CONVICTED OF TRYING TO COVER UP THE INCIDENT. KRINER WAS SENTENCED TO 4 YEARS PROBATION.

BANK ROBBER IDENTIFIED

JOHNSTOWN POLICE SAY 48 YEAR OLD CHARLES WISE OF JOHNSTOWN IS THE MAN WHO ROBBED THE AMERISERV BANK ON FAIRFIELD AVENUE IN THE WEST END TUESDAY MORNING. HE ALLEGEDLY HANDED THE TELLER A NOTE DEMANDING CASH. WISE WAS PICKED UP ABOUT 6 HOURS LATER AFTER POLICE RELEASED SURVEILLANCE PHOTOS. WISE IS IN THE CAMBRIA COUNTY JAIL ON 250-THOUSAND DOLLARS BOND.

THE ALTOONA MIRROR SAYS THE U-S VETERANS EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE HAS BEEN EVICTED FROM ITS HEADQUARTERS ON LOGAN BOULEVARD FOR NOT PAYING THE RENT.
